I don't care, if I hate it I won't do itI'm not afraid of anything
Everything is just the same
In the end, the competition, the bitter argument
All aren't worth it
Enjoying music and alcohol
With a few boon companions by my side
That is enough

I love you I need you You I love you I need you You 네가 필요해 |
All by myself in this
lonely night
A night where everything become too much I love you, I need you
You, I need you
All by myself in this
drunken night
A night where I start to
miss everything
I love you, I need you
You, I need you

80%
of the things that come this morning are repetitive
Again
a new day starts
Just another copy of yesterday
Turning
up the newest song in my earphones
Dreaming
of the best in this city
I
can feel the frustration with all my body
All
kind of pressure from childhood
Has
trained me into a Korean man today
No
money means more unhappiness
Those
on top are pushing down
Those in the bottom are fighting their way up Where can I go?
“Work
hard like water quietly flowing, then you can reach higher place” (1)
But
in reality it all thanks to connections?
|

Staying
up all night working again today
Turning
on the lights in my eyes, like the neon sign of a convenience store
My
mood is like rainfall in early summer
Even
if it ends quickly, I should gain many
Maybe
it's money, maybe it's curse
All
are not important
Still,
my happiness is to be able to work
Keep
thinking about travelling in my head
This
holiday where should I go?
Europe,
South East Asia
Feeling
excited like she does when she picks out bikini since May
Before
going home, should I go and drink a shot?
I’m
calling up friends
|
"It’s
nothing special, how about go out and meet up for a while?"
"A
cup of coffee, or a glass of alcohol"
"All
are fine for me so come on out"
|
We
must be successful
No,
we must be happy
We
must be successful
No,
we must be happy

Translator’s
note:
(1) “Work hard like water quietly flowing, then
you can reach higher place”: The original Chinese character of this quote
is “河己失音 官頭登可”, which is a popular motto often hanged in many
Korean companies, for the purpose of encouraging the employees to work hard.
The Korean pronunciation of this quote sounds like “하기실음 관두등가”, which means “If
they tell you to do, then do it, if you don’t like then quit it”, a humorous
way to mock the cliché of the motto. Gary also put this in the lyrics, after it
is a question “But in reality it all thanks to connections?”, to reflect the
reality of Korean companies’ working systems, where promotion is based on
connections, not on true talent or working ability.
